Welcome to year 4/5.  The class teacher is Miss Wright who is supported by Mrs Rust.


This year the class is studying the history of the Mayan civilisation. We are focusing on different aspects of the Mayan culture and finding out what impact they have had on our society today. Children will be provided with different non-fiction texts to read and learn about how the Mayans lived and how their lives differed from the lives of people today. Pupils will work towards writing their own chronological report about the Mayan culture and attempt to answer the big question:


Important Information

  • Homework is handed out on a Thursday and due back in school the following Tuesday.
  • Children are expected to read at home every evening and bring their reading books in school everyday.
  • Year 4 children need to bring their swimming kit in every Tuesday.
  • Children are expected to bring P.E kits into school everyday.
