Music
Our children receive a rich music curriculum. We work alongside Wakefield Music Service and Diocese of Leeds Music to provide a wonderful range of opportunities for our children.
- Key Stage One children have weekly music lessons with Mrs Woodhead (Choral director)
- Y3/4 children have an hourly lesson with Mrs Attack (WMS) where this year they will learn to play the ukulele.
- Y4/5 children have a weekly singing lesson with Mrs Woodhead (Choral director) and a weekly lesson with Miss Barr learning to play melodica. (Diocese of Leeds Music)
- Y6 and a weekly lesson with Mrs Barr learning to play melodica. (Diocese of Leeds Music)
In addition to these bespoke lessons, our children regularly have the opportunity to perform. Performances have included, singing at Leeds Cathedral, BKCAT singing festival, Young Voices at Sheffield Arena and a range of school productions to name but a few.
